Don't let the most recent warmup fool you, winter is far from over!! The latest models are forecasting February temperatures well below normal.
Due to power/internet issues caused by the recent storms on Beech Mountain, I haven't been able to post anything the last couple of days, but I would like to share the most recent model data. The lastest extended model data (especially the European) has February temperatures anywhere from 5-7 degrees below normal.

This is highlighted around the middle of February by a Cold Outbreak similar to what we experienced last week where temperatures are forecasted to be anywhere from 15-20 degrees below normal!

If you are wondering about potential snowfall...precipation is forecasted to be above normal, bringing opportunities for a major snowfall event!
